Certificate IV in Massage
Nationally Recognised Training
The Accreditation for this Nationally Recognised Training Certificate was awarded to the College on 23rd December, 2002. The Certificate complies with the Government's 'Health Training Package HLT 40302’. It is the first goal for an intending massage professional. The Certificate IV is offered part-time by you attending modules of your choice offered regularly throughout the year, or full-time commencing March each year.
Once the Certificate IV has been achieved, a professional practitioner can readily move towards the Diploma of Remedial Massage which then incorporates Sports Therapies and its associated supervised practice clinics.
Students completing Certificate IV have considerable massage skills and can work without supervision. Their employment possibilities extend from self-employed to wide-ranging massage work in therapeutic centres.
The Certificate IV in Massage comprises the following 15 Subjects, totalling 456 contact hours, plus First Aid. Part-time students can take the subjects in their own chosen order – within reason – and can also complete some subjects in the daytime. Full-time students follow the order as per the issued Course Syllabus. This qualification will take a student approximately 10 months full-time, or 24 months part-time to complete.
