Diploma of Reflexology
The Accreditation for this Nationally Recognised Training Diploma was awarded to the College on 2nd.June, 2006. This credential enables graduates who are interested in the broader aspects of Natural Therapies to enter the work force with advanced wholistic skills in Reflexology. It is ideal for the practitioner who wants to take more of a consultative approach to their clinical work, without supervision. Relaxation Massage of 40/50 hours is within our Reflexology credentials.
Reflexology employment possibilities extend from self-employed, to clinical work in therapeutic centres and supporting other complementary practitioners.
The Diploma of Reflexology is Nationally Recognised Training and comprises the 18 subjects shown below, totalling a nominal 562 contact hours, plus First Aid. This qualification will take a student approximately 30 months to complete part-time. Formal fulltime training for this Diploma will be offered in 2007.
Reflexology v Massage
It is important to recognise that the differences between our Diploma of Reflexology and our Diploma of Remedial Massage essentially involve the transposition of Reflexology skills for Remedial Massage skills; with many other modules common to both qualifications. Accordingly, it is easy for a student to undertake fulltime training in Reflexology by appropriate mixing-and-matching between the fulltime day Massage Course and part-time evening classes.
