Diploma of Remedial Massage
National Recognised Training
The Accreditation for Diploma of Remedial Massage was awarded to The College on 30th June, 2005. The Diploma complies with the Government's 'Health Training Package HLT 50302'. It is recommended as the major goal for a massage professional.
It is in easy reach for anyone already holding Certificate IV in Massage, simply by incorporating Sports Therapies and its associated supervised practice clinics.
Holding this Diploma can allow a practitioner “Provider Status” with the major health funds.
Students completing this Diploma:
- have considerable therapeutic and remedial massage skills;
- can work without supervision;
- can operate their own practices working on the public;
- can enjoy wide-ranging massage work in therapeutic centres; and
- have the capacity to perform highly competent and effective work with amateur sporting groups.
The Diploma is offered:
- Part-time by you attending modules of your choice offered regularly throughout the year, or;
- Full-time commencing March each year.
The Diploma of Remedial Massage comprises 21 Subjects, totalling 548 contact hours, plus First Aid. The subjects do not have to be taken in the order shown. This qualification will take a student approximately 15 months full-time, or 30 months part-time to complete.
