Certificate IV in Remedial Therapies
The A.T.M.S. Accreditation for this Certificate was awarded to the College on 14th.July, 1994. This Certificate is the widest level of training currently offered by the College. The Course structure is designed to cater for the diverse needs of those wishing to gain broad yet in-depth knowledge and skills in the healthcare industry. Such people recognize that a prime contact professional needs to have skills, knowledge and abilities which are not only complementary to the medical system, but are complete in equipping graduates to effectively communicate to and treat clients on a wholistic basis.
This award recognizes such a Prime Contact Professional.
The Certificate IV Remedial Therapies comprises the following 26 Subjects, totalling 763 hours, plus First Aid. The subjects do not have to be taken in this order. This qualification would take a student three to four years part-time to complete. Most students, however, will attain the Certificate IV in Massage first, which comprises 456 of the same subject hours; then go into professional practice. After some time they will then seek the Diploma of Remedial Massage, followed by the remaining subjects for this much broader qualification.
